Read to Succeed is a free educational program sponsored by Six Flags theme parks. As part of the program, the Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club inspires kids in grades K through 6 to engage in recreational reading. Students who complete six hours of recreational, non-school-related reading are eligible to earn a free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags theme park. Teachers whose classes participate are also eligible to earn a free ticket. Only students and teachers in schools that are registered are eligible to participate. Schools must be within a 150-mile radius of a participating Six Flags theme park in order to participate.

We can only send one program per school. Let your colleagues know who has ordered the program so that they do not also request it. Only one request will be honored. The program is designed for the whole school's use. All curriculum materials are available on this site.

You can print a copy of the Reading Club guide online. Log on using your coordinator's ID and password. You will find a PDF of the Reading Club guide on the “Welcome” page.
This part of the site is password protected and will be available after November 17. We will email a user ID and password to each coordinator who signs up his/her school. After November 17, you can log into the Coordinator Management section by entering your user ID and password in the top right corner of this site. The Coordinator Management section of the site contains all the information and forms you need for managing your school's Reading Club.

The Ticket Request and the Teachers' Reading Club Lists must be accurately completed according to the directions. All forms for the school must be submitted by the coordinator on or before March 3, 2010. Only one ticket request will be accepted per school.
You must submit a completed Ticket Request form, along with a Teacher's Reading Club List for each teacher or class participating in your entire school. This is done online at www.weeklyreader.com/sixflags. Be sure to print out copies for yourself so you know who to distribute tickets to when they arrive. Do not send in lists separately—all teachers' lists must be submitted together at one time.
No, please do not send the students' reading logs. However, you need to hold on to the students' forms in case we need to verify eligibility.
Yes. You must keep copies of all of the forms that you submit because we cannot return them to you, and the tickets will not have names on them. You can print copies of your ticket request form and the teachers' lists online even after you submit the information to us.
Only one request can be submitted for each school. Please account for all of the participants on one Ticket Request, and submit it with all the Teacher's Reading Club Lists for your school. Be sure to keep copies for yourself.
If you are unable to use the online system this year, you can send the forms in the mail. There are PDFs of the forms online. The coordinator must log on using the user ID and password sent in order to access the forms. Please call the toll-free number at 1-866-308-1362 with questions or for the mailing address.
No. You must use either the online system OR the mail-in option. If you submit the Ticket Request online, you must also submit the Teacher’s Reading Club Lists online. If you need to mail the Teacher’s Reading Club Lists, you must also mail the Ticket Request Form with the lists.
No. Each school must be signed up on its own, and the information and ticket request for each school must be done separately.
Tickets will be distributed in late April. You should receive them by May 1, 2010.
If your ticket request is for more than ten tickets, then they will be delivered by a certified carrier. Someone will have to sign for the package. If you provided a P.O. Box as your address, your package will be sent via regular mail—no signatures will be required. Please alert your front desk and mail sorters that the package will be coming. It will have your school coordinator's name on it. We are not responsible once the tickets are signed for by the school.
Do not sign for the package if it is damaged. Call us at 1-866-308-1362 to report the damaged package.
Please write down the bar code ranges for student and teacher tickets when your package arrives in case you have any questions about the tickets.
No, the students cannot use the adult tickets.
Please cross out the original name, write the correct name, and initial it.
No, you cannot use stickers or labels on the tickets because they may interfere with the park's ticket scanning machines. Names must be handwritten.
Unfortunately, lost, stolen, or damaged tickets cannot be replaced.
Tickets will be valid from June 14, 2010 to August 8, 2010. (Note: Valid dates for The Great Escape ONLY: June 28, 2010 to August 15, 2010)
All Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club tickets are pre-printed with the expiration date clearly featured. They can't be extended or re-printed.

We cannot send copies of the forms back to schools. You can print copies from your school's online account by logging on to the site using your password. You can also check with your teachers to see if they have copies, or use your students' reading logs to determine who the tickets should be distributed to.
